Our State-of-the-Art Technology at Our Chicago Dental Office

3D Scanner and Digital Printing
Remember biting into a tray full of thick dental putty while trying not to gag? That experience is officially obsolete.
Our advanced 3D scanning technology captures incredibly detailed digital impressions of your teeth and gums—no mess, no discomfort, no waiting for putty to set. The result is a precise digital model that feeds directly into our state-of-the-art 3D printing capabilities, allowing us to create custom dental appliances, surgical guides, and physical models with exceptional accuracy and speed—right here in our Chicago dental office.
Here’s why an in-house digital workflow matters for you:
- Better-fitting results
- Faster turnaround
- Less chair time
Intraoral Scanning Technology
Our advanced intraoral scanning technology goes a step further than traditional X-rays by providing high-resolution, real-time digital imaging of the inside of your mouth—in full 3D, visible on screen during your appointment.
This precise scanning system transforms how we diagnose issues and communicate treatment plans. Rather than describing what’s happening in clinical terms while pointing at a blurry X-ray, Dr. Clark can show you exactly what she sees—a clear, detailed digital model of your actual teeth and gums, right in front of you.
Why patients in Chicago appreciate intraoral scanning:
- Early detection
- Collaborative treatment planning
- Comfort for anxious patients
Intraoral scanning is particularly valuable for cosmetic treatment planning. A high-resolution digital model of your current smile is the foundation for everything from porcelain veneers to a full smile rejuvenation—captured in a single, comfortable scan.

CEREC Same-Day Restorations
This is the technology most of our Chicago-area patients get most excited about — and for good reason.
CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a complete in-office system that allows Dr. Clark to design, mill, and place a permanent ceramic crown, inlays, onlays, or veneer in a single appointment. No temporary crown. No second visit. No waiting 1–2 weeks for a lab.
Here’s how the process works, start to finish:
Dr. Clark uses an intraoral camera to create a 3D digital model of your tooth. She then designs a custom restoration with CEREC software, matching the shape and color of your surrounding teeth. A ceramic block is milled on-site into your restoration in about 15–20 minutes. Finally, Dr. Clark polishes, fits, and bonds the crown in place, allowing you to leave with a permanent solution on the same day.
For busy professionals in the Loop, River North, or anyone commuting from Chicagoland who can’t afford two half-days off work for a crown, same-day CEREC restorations are genuinely life-changing.
ExoCAD Design Software
Behind every CEREC crown and in-office restoration is a design process—and design quality determines how well your restoration fits, how natural it looks, and how long it lasts.
Our ExoCAD CAD/CAM software is an industry-leading digital design platform used by dental professionals and laboratories worldwide. Rather than relying on an outside lab’s interpretation of your tooth from a physical mold, Dr. Clark designs your restoration directly digitally, in-house, with full control over the shape, contacts, and aesthetics.
What that means practically:
- No third-party translation errors
- Faster turnaround
- Aesthetic precision
For complex cases—multi-unit bridges, full-arch work, or situations where Dr. Clark determines that laboratory artistry will produce a better result—we work with trusted, vetted dental labs. But even in those cases, ExoCAD’s digital workflow means the lab receives a precise digital file rather than a physical mold, which improves accuracy and reduces remakes.

Laser Dentistry
Dental lasers have transformed what “minimally invasive” actually means in a clinical setting. At our Chicago cosmetic dental office, laser dentistry isn’t a marketing term—it’s a tool Dr. Clark uses to deliver more precise, more comfortable treatment outcomes across a range of procedures.
What dental lasers do:
- Soft tissue procedures
- Bacterial reduction
- Enhanced precision
Patients who have historically avoided dental treatment due to anxiety about cutting or sutures often find laser dentistry to be a genuine turning point. If that describes you, bring it up during your consultation. Dr. Clark will explain whether laser treatment applies to what you need.

Our Commitment to Eco-Friendly, Oral Ecosystem-Conscious Care
Technology at our Chicago dental office isn’t just about what’s on the equipment list—it’s about the philosophy behind every product choice Dr. Clark makes.
Wherever possible, Dr. Clark selects plant-based, oral ecosystem-friendly products that work in harmony with your mouth’s natural microbiome rather than disrupting it. The oral microbiome—the ecosystem of bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms that live in your mouth—plays a significant role in both oral and systemic health. Many conventional dental products are effective at addressing immediate symptoms but hard on that ecosystem in the process.
Dr. Clark’s approach considers the full picture: effective treatment today, a healthy oral environment long-term, and a minimal environmental footprint overall. It’s a standard of care that’s especially meaningful for patients who are thoughtful about what goes into and onto their bodies.
